UrusFamily is a Malaysian family app for sharing housework, earning points and working towards one shared goal. Parents assign chores, kids tick them done without an account of their own, and allowance can be tied to real effort. Free during launch, no ads, and all data sits under PDPA 2010.

Why does housework turn into daily nagging?

It is rarely laziness. Most of the time nobody actually knows what needs to be done today.

What changes after one week?

  1. Day 1. A parent creates the family, adds four members and picks eight chores from the ready list.
  2. Day 2. A child opens their own profile with a PIN, ticks two chores before maghrib, and the points land straight away.
  3. Day 4. The argument turns into an easier question: who takes mopping this week.
  4. Day 5. Friday allowance works itself out from real effort, so there is no recount at the dinner table.
  5. Day 7. The family goal bar moves, and the kids start asking how many points are left for the zoo trip.

Want to try it before everyone else?

We are gathering families for the Google Play closed test.

Testers install the app from a Play link, use it in their own home, and keep it installed for 14 days. Free, Android first, no assignments, and your email is used for the Play invite only.

Questions parents ask

Is my child's data safe?

Yes. Kid profiles have no account and no email. Kids' screens carry no ads and no outside links. Chore proof photos are deleted once checked, within 72 hours at the latest. Family notes are encrypted on the phone with a key we never hold.

Does my child need their own phone?

No. One parent phone is enough. A child opens their own profile with a PIN on that same phone, then exits again. If a child already has a phone, they can use the same profile there.

What if only one parent uses it?

That works. One parent is enough to run the family. Other members can be added later, and the chores already recorded are not lost.

Does it work offline?

The app keeps data on the phone, so you can see and tick chores even on a weak line. It syncs again when the connection returns.

What happens when the free launch ends?

We tell you inside the app first. The price after that is RM 9.90 a month or RM 79 a year for the whole family. Nothing is charged automatically unless you choose it, and your data stays yours.

Can I export or delete everything?

Yes. A parent can export a copy of the family data from Settings. Deleting the family removes the data from the main database immediately and from backups within 30 days.

Is it available in English?

Yes. The app and this site are in Bahasa Melayu and English, and the app also supports 中文 and தமிழ்.

Is it only for Muslim families?

No. The ibadah features are optional and can be switched off. Season packs cover Ramadan, Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Christmas and school holidays, following what your family chooses.
